Rex (25 December[3]) is a character that appears in Oxenfree II: Lost Signals and is the son of the main protagonist, Riley. At the end of the game, if Riley does not sacrifice herself, Alex writes a letter to Rex, along with the blue lockbox.

Biography[]

Rex is the only son of Riley Poverly, with whom he has had a rocky relationship. They both share their inability to control their anger, which leads to many arguments. When Rex was a kid, he thought his mother was always angry.[4] He also used to be embarrassed by her mother's chatter with strangers.[5] Riley and Rex enjoyed eating at a burger place and eating pancakes on Sundays.[6]

When he was a kid, he had a friend named Eric and a gecko named Louis, nicknamed Lou by Riley.[7] When Louis passed away, Rex made him a funeral on Horseshoe Beach, leaving his body to sail the sea.

While in high school, Rex got into a fight with a classmate named Brandon.[8]

In Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, Rex was not even born since Riley was two months pregnant.[9] However, he can be seen in Riley's visions as a teenager and an adult by the end of the game.

Appearance[]

Rex's appearance takes after his mother. He has short auburn hair, which Brandon made fun of.[10]

Trivia[]

  • According to his birthdate, he is a Capricorn.
